How it Started
After graduating during the pandemic, I had a lot of art supplies left over from undergrad and my time in AmeriCorps during my graduate program and felt way too burnt out and exhausted to use them.
It would’ve broken my heart to throw them out, even the old ruined brushes! I’m still an artist and wanted to create, even while feeling too tired and uninspired to put paint to paper. So, I had to get creative if I wanted to still be creative!
I didn’t have the time or energy in school to explore anything outside of my major, and bookmaking was always interesting to me. So I popped on videos, tried some kits, and slowly taught myself how to make them!

How it’s Going
It turns out that making these little journals has been a big part of my personal healing and recovery journey. You see, I typically work small, so it was extremely difficult to find sketchbooks and journals that were aesthetic and had good quality paper for wet and dry media. It’s quite liberating to simply make the things you want to see in the world yourself!
Because they’re made from my old art supplies and found materials, no two are exactly alike. Each and every one is unique, I’m proud to say!
