About Kimmy Parfait
The Who, the What, and the Why

A Graduate
I went to school for Graphic Design, then General Fine Arts and Community Art which placed me in AmeriCorps, teaching art in underrepresented communities. I also have certifications in Teaching and ESL/ELL. Yes, it was a lot and yes, I absolutely burnt out. Making things is a big part of my healing and recovery journey!
A Teacher
During my time in AmeriCorps, I learned a lot about the importance of art within our cultures, our societies and every day life. Communities that don’t have access to recreational programs, the space to express themselves creatively and see beauty in their environment suffer immensely in unseen ways. So, it’s my mission to make beautiful things, to add a little more joy to the world in my own way.
An Artist
Since my interests and skills are everywhere, so is my work! I can do a bit of everything, from illustration and painting to crafting and… well, whatever else I decide do! I really did try to niche down but being able to switch between mediums and articulate ideas in many different ways is much more fun for me. I did decide that focus on my love of florals, but maybe that too will change. Either way, I hope you find something you enjoy from my little studio!
